Installation Engineer (453ww) - Cambridge (Remote-Nationwide) - £30-£35K

Our Client specialises in the supply, installation, and support of superior solutions for TSCM, TEMPEST, RF Surveillance, Tactical and Strategic Satellite Communications.

Using a wide range of Ground to Air, Satcom, Laboratory, Vehicle, Manpack and Field antennas

Our Client is looking for Installation Engineers with good background in IT infrastructure and RF Telecommunications background


Job Description

The role of Installation Engineer in a small team. Work can be varied including IT infrastructure, fibre optic cabling, RF communications networks and associated equipment. The role will require travel throughout the UK with occasional work overseas,

Involving spending time away from home.

Flexibility with working hours will also be required due to the nature of the role.

A full UK driving license is essential (clean preferable).

Essential Skills

• Installing equipment and cabling associated with data and RF communications networks

• Experience in carrying out Risk assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

• Good communicating skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Self-motivation

• Positive and professional working attitude

• Ability to work as a part of a team

• Strong organisation skills

• Attention to detail

• Being computer literate (Office365/Windows)

• Good customer communication skills when dealing with high-stress situations

• Good listening skills

• Working and managing contractors on site.

Desirable Skills

• Project management skills

• Previous installation experience

• Working at height

• In date basic qualifications such as, but not limited to PASMA/EUS/ECS/ESUR/IPAF etc

• SSSTS/SMSTS Qualified

• Any offshore experience.

• Experience in using Anritsu Site Master or equivalent RF test equipment

• PIM testing Anritsu or equivalent test equipment

• AC/DC wiring experience or qualifications.

• SC Cleared
