The Infrastructure Release Train Engineer is a change agent and servant leader for one or more Portfolios using EIS PMO Delivery Methodology, which anchors on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This person will be responsible for implementing scaled agile practices for developing and launching new IT Services and Products. Facilitates solution/program level processes and execution, drives continuous development, manages risks, and escalates impediments. Accountable for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of value through the program. Responsibilities Coordinates the launch and optimization of Agile Framework in accordance with EIS PMO Framework to support structure the delivery and sustainment of products and services Expertise in Facilitation Techniques and Communication with Senior and Executive leadership. Participates in Initiative Planning and Sprint Zero to identify solution design, initiative sizing, capacity impact, and a dependency map. Maintains a 1-year roadmap of Capacity allocations for all value streams in respective service portfolios, updated quarterly. Provides dependency support across services, programs, and portfolios, as needed, to ensure the delivery and release occur. Manage program level coordination, such as creating timelines, milestones, and cadence of increments and releases, and oversee the development of reports and analyses that document program activity Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to agility and be an advocate in adopting best practices and processes Facilitate the working relationship between the Infrastructure and Cross-functional EIS portfolios and its business functions/partners Collaborate with the team that prioritizes the epics to be considered in the next program increment (PI) planning cycle participate in planning and Sprint Zero for all initiatives. Facilitate the refinement of features to be considered in the next PI planning cycle to meet the feature definition of ready Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity Experience with Agile Lifecycle Tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Planview-Lean Agile Kit, PowerBi Preferred Qualifications Must have expertise in leveraging Agile methodologies Extensive experience facilitating events, meetings, and discussions in a variety of different contexts. Understanding of Lean and Agile frameworks Experience leading software development teams Guides the transition to and implementation of a scaling framework for teams of teams to optimize value delivery for a program. Leads and facilitates Program Increment (PI) events as necessary and ensures the teams are achieving value from them (e.g., PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums (SoS), Program Reviews, Portfolio/Program refinement). Coaches the teams, leaders, and scrum masters about the combination of Lean and Agile management practices and ideologies. Leverage EIS PMO Frameworks to maintain solid program execution and operational excellence. Drives continuous improvements, such as: stagnant or variable velocity, moving items from sprint to sprint, breaking work into smaller pieces, reducing work in progress (WIP), etc. Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Agilist Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer Experience working and launching value streams in a Services/Products Organization Education: Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Location: Remote USA Required Immigration Status: US Citizen or US Person required.
