Information Security SOC Analyst - Remote

The Info Sec SOC Analyst will use various tools and dashboards to monitor the TTEC environment for potential security events. The SOC Analyst will triage the events to detect legitimate security concerns, and respond according to established playbooks. The SOC Analyst will also manage, maintain, and monitor TTEC security solutions and processes to provide Tier 1 Support and Security Incident Management.

The SOC Analyst will perform a variety of security duties and will ensure they are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner. The Security Operations Center (SOC) will interact frequently with other members of the Information Security team, and other members of the IT technical teams at TTEC, so written and verbal communications skills are important. Additionally, the SOC Analyst will work very closely with the IT Operations and Engineering teams, so a working knowledge of fundamental enterprise IT systems are valued. Diligence and attention to detail are also key skills along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately.

The SOC provides 24x7 security operations monitoring and support for the TTEC core network and services. The SOC must have a solid understanding of TTEC's products and processes; SOC Analysts must be eager and quick to learn, be clear communicators and must be able to use their initiative and analytical skills to tackle a broad range of problems.

During a Typical Day, You'll

  • Work with system administration and networking teams to ensure a strong understanding of the risks to TTEC's environment.
  • Ensure tickets are properly generated for the respective teams and includes all necessary information providing accurate scan data for the targeted team.
  • Spend time understanding the environment you're responsible for and engage with various teams to gain further knowledge of the environment(s).
  • Respond to events and work with multiple security tools.
  • Participate in Table-top Exercises to ensure proper documentation and response procedures are followed
  • Assists Fraud & Compliance, Human Capital and Operations with fraud detection, documentation, and prevention, and provides investigative support as needed.
  • Assists and supports audits (Payment Card Industry, SOX, SSAE16, internal and client audits).
  • Provides reports to superiors regarding effectiveness of data security and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures and tools.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Knowledge of information security principles, concepts, practices
  • Knowledge of networks and operating systems
  • Ability to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical information technology security issues
  • Ability to assess risk factors and advise on vulnerability of attack from a variety of sources
  • Ability to create or review procedures for protection of systems and applications
  • Ability to ensure coordination and/or collaboration on security activities
  • Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources
  • Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly
  • Beneficial experience includes: Security incident detection, response, remediation
  • CIRT/CERT experience


  • Security Certifications, such as: CISSP, GIAC certifications, Security , CISCO, Red Hat, or Microsoft certifications
  • Experience with trouble ticketing systems

Education and experience

  • Level 2, Candidate will possess 2-3 years of experience in Information Systems or IT security-related functions. IT degree and/ or training is very helpful.


The anticipated starting range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $56,000 - $75,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Actual compensation offers to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill levels.
