Job Description

Overview:
You are part of the Group Information Security Organization of the SSI SCHFER GROUP and are responsible for the locations within your region. You report directly to the Group Head of Information Security.As an Information Security Manager, you will find an exciting and challenging work environment in which you will continually evolve. The Information Security Manager is also responsible for the constant development of the information security of the internal SSI SCHFER IT network, in particular the SSI SCHFER logistic solutions and IT products.Your daily work will consistent of management of all aspects on Information Security within your area of responsibility. At SSI Schfer we define an area as a group of countries in a common geographic area. Your tasks will include execution of security framework standards, continuous improvement of Information Security and constant communication within your area of responsibility and globally.Note: This individual can reside in Charlotte, NC or remote.

Responsibilities:
Information Security Incident ResponseInitiate and execute measures for current threat situationsIncident handling within the region and the groupSupport internal business units and IT during remediation and lessons learnedInformation security governanceDevelop information security standards and guidelines for systems, products and processesEvaluate (audit) the implementation of and the compliance with the IS standardsAdvise the internal departments for security-relevant IT projects, product development and customer solutions to meet compliance requirements.Information Security ReportingDesign and distribute security metrics to meet regional needsConsult and support internal business units and IT for closing vulnerabilities (and treating risks)Create risk analyzes and mitigation strategiesInformation Security Awareness TrainingSupport localization and design on Information Security Training programProvide regional support to employeesInformation Security ConsultancySecurity by Design Conception / safe software developmentSupport business units with the conception and implementation of "Security by Design" for all productsSupport Internal IT will the conception and implementation to secure services and applications with a security first approach.Represent the Head of Information Security in committees and work groupsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree, and at least three years of professional experience in an Information security role or Advanced Degree in Information Technology or Business (Masters degree preferreIn-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux and Windows), network technologies, databases and (web) applicationsKnowledge of common IT Security Standards, norms and laws (e.g. ISO 27000, CIS, PCI DSS)Experience with technical IT security architecturesExperience in risk management, in internal and external audit management as well as in international cooperationRecognized certifications such as, for example, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc. are an advantageVery strong communication skills (spoken and written) in English and local language.Continuing Education to maintain skills and awareness in Information Security.Responsiveness and timeliness to assigned task and duties.Benefits and Perks:SSI SCHAEFER is a family-owned company that values the professional success and personal fulfillment of employees.
