Job Description
Our client is a state bank based in Malta. We are looking for an experienced Independent Non-Executive Director for their organization. This position will work in a fully remote setup.
The INED will be part of the Board (4 meetings), the Board Audit Committee (6 meetings), the Board Risk Committee (6 meetings), and the Board Governance Committees (4 meetings).

- Ensure that the company's governance practices align with legal and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the development and review of the company's strategic goals and objectives
- Provide valuable insights and perspectives on industry trends and competitive dynamics
- Participate actively in discussions related to risk management and mitigation strategies
- Help identify potential risks and provide guidance on risk appetite
- Scrutinize financial reports, budgets, and financial projections
- Monitor financial performance against key indicators and ensure financial integrity
- Represent the interests of shareholders and other stakeholders
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Non-Executive Director
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and best practices
- Relevant industry expertise with a track record of strategic leadership
- Financial acumen and the ability to analyze complex financial information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high ethical standards and integrity
