The Challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Okta Identity Engineer with extensive experience in Active Directory (AD) and HR systems such as Paylocity or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of identity management, workflows, and processes, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operations within our IT infrastructure.

The Mission

As an IAM Engineer with EverOps you will join our U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center (your home office), working with a team of dynamic engineers to manage multiple customers’ production cloud environments. The work we do is uniquely dynamic and each day brings new challenges – Imagine a world where you won’t be siloed into one aspect or facet of IT. Our existing team of engineers has a deep understanding of our customer environments and are eager to empower, ramp up, and mentor each new hire so that success is achieved.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Okta identity solutions to support business needs and security requirements.
  • Manage and configure Active Directory (AD) environments, including user account management, group policies, and security settings.
  • Integrate HR systems such as Paylocity with Okta to streamline user provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
  • Develop and maintain workflows and processes for identity lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless identity management and data integrity.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in identity and access management (IAM) to continuously improve the company’s identity infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular audits of identity management systems to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and internal teams on Okta and related systems.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on Okta and Active Directory.
  • Extensive experience with HR systems such as Paylocity or equivalent (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Strong understanding of identity management concepts, workflows, and processes.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g PowerShell, Python) for identity management tasks.
  • Endpoint system integrations such as Intune, JAMF, Kandji, Crowdstrike etc using device trust
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • ZTNA/VPN/SASE solution integrations

Extra Awesome

  • Okta Certified Professional or higher certification.
  • Experience with other identity management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD, Ping Identity).
  • Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
