Job Description

A retail services company in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff Remotely as their new IBM Sterling OMS Operations Engineer.

Responsibilities:

The IBM Sterling OMS Operations Engineer (Remote) will:
  • Ensure best practices, processes and norms are fully leveraged within all initiatives, including identify manual/redundant activities and provide better approach to automate
  • Assist with service improvements, including adding alerts where needed to address issues early, communicate issues and follow up fixes with appropriate team
  • Lead all facets of daily operations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures: Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Request processes
  • Evaluate, design, scope, and document integration effort for new products, processes, technologies, and solutions
  • Diagnose complex technical and business problems and provide creative solutions
  • Design and maintain detailed technical architecture documentation across a multi-brand, multi-region Omnichannel environment
  • Perform Impact Analysis across enterprise systems as well as third party solutions and provide high level cost and effort estimates for all major initiatives
  • Develop technical implementation plans and timelines with key engineering stakeholders and enterprise standards
  • Identify and enforce overall architectural principles, framework and standards. Enforce and guide a Solution Review process to ensure all solutions are thoroughly vetted
  • Align the platform vision and overall roadmap with the technical requirements of the stack
  • Communicate technical needs and limitations clearly and effectively
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of IBM Sterling Order Management Architecture multi-implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or a related field
  • In-depth experience with Core Order management modules - DOM, GIV, SC, Platform, Payments, COM and SOM
  • Good understanding of IBM Sterling OMS so that reports can be generated with minimal information/background.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms: SAP, Demandware/SFCC, POS, ESB, CRM, Analytics etc.
  • Deep understanding of Integration concepts (REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, API Gateways)
  • Exposure to PII & PCI security , compliance policies
  • Working experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, BitBucket, etc.
  • Experience working in a fashion / multi-brand environment
  • Experience with hosted solutions on the Cloud / IBM Cloud on Commerce
  • Experience with Agile Scrum implementation methodology
  • Strong understanding of Omnichannel ecosystems and processes that include end-to-end data flows and processing from multi channels, fulfilment, payments, customer service and other back-end systems
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
