I.T. Technical Support Engineer - Full Time - Remote (West Coast)

My client who is a leading Global Cybersecurity firm is currently looking to on board an experienced Technical Support Engineer for what will be Full Time role.


This will be a remote position with candidates ideally based in Central, Mountain or Pacific time zones due to the geographical regions/offices you would be looking to support.

The Role:

  • You will be involved in all aspects required to support business applications and/or infrastructure services. Predominate focus in supporting West Coast based clients.
  • This includes performing ITIL or similar processes such as Incident, Problem and Change Management as well as conducting IT Operations in line with agreed Service Levels.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of services as well as the below general functions:
  • Support engineering tasks as directed by the service or team leader under supervision
  • Follows support process and good practice
  • Reports on activity to project or team leader in verbal and written form
  • Liaise with customers to inform of progress, request information, manage expectations and close out issues in a timely manner
  • Provides accurate estimates of effort required to complete own tasks


The Candidate:

  • Technical degree (Computer science, Telecommunications or similar), experience in a related role is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven experience in resolving challenging issues
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills: team player attitude, self-motivation and proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • On call shift availability (24/7 weekly team rotation)
  • Willing to travel from time to time to support projects

Core Technologies:

  • Linux Operating systems (CentOS, Red Hat, SLES)
  • DevOps-related technologies (Ansible, Puppet, HEAT, etc.)
  • Computer networking: DNS, DHCP, VPNs, OSI model, routing, VLANs, firewalling, switch administration
  • Information and communications security

Salary - Up to $80k-$85k Per Annum + Benefits
