This role is a full-time remote position, and you're free to work from anywhere. Be advised that most team meetings occur between 8 am and 12 pm Pacific Time (UTC-8/-7). About the role

Tendermint is seeking an HRBP with a strong grasp on fundamental HR service partnership and experience supporting innovative people solutions in a rapid growth environment. Our HR & People Operations team is focused on creating an amazing team member experience. We strive to create and support an environment where our team is enabled to do their best work. You will report to the Senior HRBP and be working closely with our People & Talent team. We're looking for a motivated and versatile self-starter who balances scalable structure with flexibility, has empathy for their team members and those they work with and wants to evolve the HR function at a growing crypto startup!

What you will be doing:
    • In this role, you will partner with and support all key people functions, programs, and employee lifecycle events
    • Partner with People team & Leadership on optimized org design, planning, and execution at scale
    • Provide coaching/guidance on skill & professional development, career pathing and leveling, change management, org design, and tricky people situations
    • Build excellent working relationships across the business
    • Approach people matters with an eye toward compliance and reducing risks; help build and apply HR policies and manage employee relations issues
    • Work with relevant stakeholders to build creative people programs and strategies that enhance our culture - including performance management, compensation, talent development & feedback, employee engagement & retention, and internal communications
    • Utilize data to analyze people problems and implement solutions

We're looking for someone that has:
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience. (generalist experience/business partner experience)
    • Strong desire and ability to create, innovate & improve processes, foster solid cross-functional relationships, and make Tendermint better
    • Expertise in people/HR policies & procedures - and a track record of prioritizing, defining, developing, and rolling out scalable HR solutions that address the needs of the business
    • Ability to remain calm and inspire progress, even in tense situations
    • Prior experience working in a high growth environment
    • Deep understanding of relevant employment laws
    • Experience in data analytics
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapid, ever-changing priorities
    • Reputation for integrity, dedicated work ethic, and desire for ownership & accountability
