Job Description

Job Summary: OPSPro specializes in providing small businesses and government contractors with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT. The Human Resources Specialist position is a full-time, fully remote position. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform HR-related duties on a professional level. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Applies working knowledge of HR federal government contracting requirements, OFCCP and DOL mandatory compliance training, E-Verify, EEO/VETS, and AAP, and the fundamentals of the Civil Rights Act and all other federal and state lawHRIS maintenance and administrationProvides specialized support for OPSPro client's HR-related programs, policies, and initiatives in one or more of the following HR functions: benefits, compensation, employee relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, performance management, on/off-boarding, employee status change, and leave requests, performance management, and training and developmentIdentifies and participates in the administration of HR processes and procedures in partnership with the HR Manager. Develops and/or recommends new policies, practices, and programs to meet management and employee needsParticipates in the general recruiting staffing process for assigned positions (includes position description creation, job posting, sourcing, interviewing, testing, reference checking, selecting qualified candidates, assigning disposition codes as necessary, ensuring interview notes are assigned and compliant and disposition codes are accurate)Ensures new hires are successfully integrated into the HR system, iSolved, and on respective client site onboarding, HR Portals, and status change sitesAdministers, tracks, and responds to employee leave of absence requests, statuses and ensures complianceAssists in the preparation and delivery of presentations for managers and employees on a variety of HR-related topicsConducts New Employee Orientation when needed and other training programsProvides management guidance on employee-related issues such as performance, professional development, employee relations, and terminationsMaintains knowledge of HR policies and procedures, and state and federal labor laws applicable to assigned areas of responsibilityAssists HR Manager in creating HR policy and procedure for new and current clients and communicates policy change and able to interpret new policies to employees, managers, and clients as neededAssists HR department on other assignments and/or special projects as requestedEstablishes and maintains relationships with internal and external customersOther duties as assignedSupervision: No direct reportsRequirements: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 or more years of progressive HR experienceStrong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, executives, and clients at all levels of the organization while maintaining extreme confidentialityExcellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, communication and facilitation skills, and solid knowledge of HR-related laws and regulationsProven organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracyDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressureAbility to meet goals while working under limited supervisionFederal government contracting industry experienceMicrosoft Office Suite experienceGeneral HRIS and LMS usage and report pulling experiencePreferred Qualifications: SPHR/PHR certificationExperience working in multiple external client environmentWorking knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA)iSolved experience, specifically recruiting, onboarding, and talent management modules and BI reportingBenefits: Medical, Dental & VisionFSAHSALife Insurance401kPTOEducation ReimbursementOPSPro is an EEO employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
