Job Description

HR Business Partner, up to £60,000 per annum, Amazing Retail Company, London EC1 (Clerkenwell), 50% Remote Working, Permanent Role

The Role:

This company are a one of the most forward thinking and innovative UK retailers stores in the UK. Due to extra demand in the business they are now looking to hire a HR Business Partner to be based in their head office in London EC1. This position will also come with 50% remote working and there will be some travel to retail sites however this will be a small element of the position.

The HR Business partner will work with the Area managers so the ideal candidate will have gained HR experience in a retail multi-site environment. This is a generalist HR role however a strong emphasis on Employee Relations will be needed.

Reporting to the Head of People, you'll be responsible for partnering the retail area of the business to support with all aspects of the colleague life cycle. As a people leader you'll be responsible for guiding and supporting our clients amazing managers to design and deliver the people agenda ensuring they continue to meet key business goals.

The role is ideal for a HR & People professional who has previous experience working within a retail or online/digital business, someone who loves starting projects from scratch and has a flair for all things new and creative. Most importantly someone who has a passion for people!

Typical duties of the HR Business Partner will include:

Provide value added HR Advisory / Business Partnering to Regional and/or Area Managers as well as to the Centre management team which drives effectiveness and performance in line with business strategy
Building credible relationships with the Area Managers, in order to support them in achieving their people areas of their strategy

Taking responsibility for the full employee life-cycle

Conducting regular operational reviews with your partners to identify concerns, opportunities, and ensuring proactive steps are taken to address these in line with business needs

Providing cost effective business solutions to changes in employment legislation, seeking to minimise disruption to business processes and reduce operating costs wherever possible

Providing comprehensive and commercial advice on complex employee relations queries, ensuring best practice and legislative requirements are met while reducing potential risk to the business

Educating and supporting line managers in the application of company performance management procedures, ensuring results are achieved as quickly as possible and that all action is applies consistently across the business

Updating and maintaining the HR database with relevant changes

Assisting the Head of HR with general day to day HR administration

Providing information with regards to company benefits

Skills and Experience required:

Previous HR Advisor or HR Business Partnering experience ideally gained from a retail environment

Good experience of Employee Relations

Confident and professional with a can do attitude

A great team player who is positive and personable and happy to "roll their sleeves up" when required
