Summary of PositionUnder general direction, is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the recruitment process to ensure an effective recruitment program and for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. Develops local and national recruiting plans, employs traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as develops new, creative recruiting ideas. Plays a critical role in ensuring Harvard Vanguard is hiring the best possible talent. Develops and executes recruiting plans. Networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees. Coordinates and implements college and other recruiting initiatives. Responsible for administrative duties and recordkeeping. Reports to Senior Employment & Diversity Consultant.Essential FunctionsFosters and maintains a positive image of the organization and educates potential candidates on the specifics of our practice while communicating in an articulate, succinct, enthusiastic manner.Develops and executes recruiting plans by working with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings, creating individualized job postings, leading the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position, efficiently and effectively filling open positions, conducting regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation, developing a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need, researching and recommending new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, building networks to find qualified passive candidates.Responsible for posting job openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues, as well as utilizing the Internet for recruitment by posting positions to appropriate Internet sources, improving the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting, researching new ways of using the Internet for recruitment, and using social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.Creates network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees by locating and documenting where to find ideal candidates, aiding public relations in establishing a recognizable "employer of choice" reputation for the company, both internally and externally, communicating with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads, creating contacts within industry, attending local professional meetings and membership development meetings, and maintaining regular contact with possible future candidates.Coordinates and implements college and professional recruiting initiatives by coordinating college, professional association and job fair recruiting initiatives, attending career fairs for recruiting and company recognition, developing working relationships within colleges, professional associations, etc. to aid in recruiting, giving presentations at colleges, job fairs, etc., attending group meetings, and increase college and professional association awareness of the company before and after career fairs.Responsible for administrative and record keeping duties such as managing the use of external recruiters, reviewing applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements., conducting screening interviews, maintaining all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), assisting in performing reference and background checks for potential employees, writing and forwarding rejection letters, interviewing and selecting employees, preparing and sending offer packages, preparing and sending new employee orientation packages.Works closely with the Senior Employment and Diversity Consultant to develop and maintain an effective recruitment advertising campaign. Coordinates all advertising in print media as well as researches and provides recommendations on advertising in all media opportunities. Maintains advertising expenses within department allocated budget.Initiates criminal background and sanction checks; coordinates through site Administrative Assistants pre-employment health screening and offer letters.As necessary, travels to interview and screen potential candidates and/or to promote the organization's positions at designated conferences or events.Develops, coordinates and maintains special employment projects/programs such as: internship and externship programs, temporary and permanent placement agency agreements, mentorship program, and workforce planning etc...Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company policies and procedures.Non-Essential FunctionsPerforms other duties as needed. Any other duties performed which are not listed as essential functions are considered non-essential functions.Minimum RequirementsEducation: BA/BS degree in related field (or equivalent education, training and/or experience).Skills and Experience: At least 5-7 years recruitment experience which includes at least 2-4 years experience in health care recruitment. Excellent interpersonal and customer service/relations skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Possesses the appropriate knowledge base to present the organization and the practice opportunity to a candidate. Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, as well as the local marketplace. Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making consistent with the departmental and organizational objectives. Ability to work with a high degree of independence and prioritize own workflow. Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork. . Skills in database management and record keeping. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work. Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyze information skillfully.
