Job Description Drive our overall data strategy, and company-wide data architecture in order to meet company, partner, and customer current and future information needsGain an understanding of our current data architecture, sources and tooling and then, with our data platform team and external advisors, define the target data architecture and strategy to support our business objectives.Work collaboratively with the data platform team to ensure that our data infrastructure and tooling best meets our overall data strategyFacilitate the design and development of high-quality, data resource driven decisions by the current and future operational and analytical business information needsEstablish processes and governance around data design, lineage, entitlements, and protectionResponsible for defining and working across functional and platform teams to deliver a standardized data architecture, pipeline, API services, and data products to support our internal and external data analytics, reporting and data availability needsLeverage and further develop advanced API/Microservices framework and create reusable components across different product lines.Work as the Technical Product Owner in partnership with our Business Product Owners to define the technical strategy for our data driven products and applications.Work with our product and data science organizations to develop business requirements into architecture and integrate into our longer term platform strategyDrive thought leadership around our AI/ML capabilities as it relates to enabling recommendations and models around forecasting key financial metrics and financial performance outcomesStay up to date on new tools & techniques in the data spaceLead and mentor other team membersIdentify and drive process improvementsFacilitate communication with cross-functional groupsIntroduce best practices and principles around data design and governance to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long term directionManage a team of data architects and collaborate with data engineering to leverage our data platform and tooling in order to meet the business's operational, insights and analytics needsEnables data usability, availability, and efficiency QualificationsDeep understanding of data modeling that facilitates both operational insights and reporting as well as enabling advanced AI/ML models in order to develop data-driven recommendationsMS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science or related degree15+ years of experience architecting, designing and developing large scale data solutions utilizing a mixture of Big Data and Relational database platformsProven experience leading teams resulting in the successful deployment of applications built on data platformsExperience leveraging various ML models to drive recommendation engines, particularly in FintechExperience driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiencesExperience as the technical lead or data architect, organizing and mentoring junior and intermediate level developers, data engineers or architectsMoody's is an equal opportunity employer.
