**Government Contracts Specialist - Remote**US, US, CA - San DiegoMinimum Level of Education Required:Bachelors DegreePercentage of Travel:Up to 25%Location:CA - San DiegoRef#:103419**Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities**NuVasive is looking for an experienced, hardworking, detail-oriented Government Contracts Specialist to help support the company's contracting activities with government entities at the federal, state, and local levels, including compliance with related data gathering, analysis, record-keeping and reporting requirements. This role will help contribute to the strategic direction of the company's government contracts initiatives, including long-term and short-term goals. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, team-player who engages with individuals cross-functionally across the organization to ensure coordinated government contract management efforts and implement the correct internal business operations to ensure compliance with those contracts.+ Maintain a complete and accurate tracking system of all contracts, schedules, and purchasing agreements and the terms and requirements associated with them.+ Ensure compliance with existing terms, conditions, and record-keeping requirements for each federal, state, and local contract.+ Work cross-functionally to gather and analyze data to comply with applicable reporting requirements.+ Participates in mobilizing key leaders and other employees through education and training on compliance to create opportunities for integration and engagement.+ Summarize contract issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, and formulate recommendations.+ Communicates and helps institutionalize standards throughout the company.+ Assist in the management of contract repository.+ Work efficiently with a client-service focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.+ Ability to analyze risks within contracts and know when appropriate to escalate to management or to external resources, as necessary, for further evaluation or approval.+ Identify and implement as-needed improvements to contract management processes and procedures.+ Perform other duties as assigned**Required Skills / Capabilities**+ Excellent writing, oral communication, and organizational skills.+ Experience building and managing contract management tools, and processes.+ Prime and Subcontract - DoD (Department of Defense) contracts experience.+ Strong skillset in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint).+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.**Education and Experience**+ Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience+ Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the state, local and federal government contract space with a Bachelor's degreeNuVasive is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
