Job Description

We’re looking for Demand Generation (Sales) Specialist to work in our friendly, supportive Demand Generation team. You’ll be experienced in outbound prospecting to generate interest from the target audience and book in meetings for our client. Our clients are large technology companies who are in growth mode and the demand for digital technologies is booming.

That means there are more opportunities for our clients to grow by selling more of their products and services to other businesses – they might sell cybersecurity solutions to companies to help protect employees working from home, for instance, or connectivity services to help keep people online, wherever they are.

For our clients to sell, they need to have conversations with the right people at prospect companies. That’s where you come in. You’ll use your natural research and communication skills to figure out who to speak to and how to approach them. That might be over the phone, on email or using social media. It might take a while to get to the right person, so you’ll need to be persistent. But when you connect with the right person and have a great conversation, you’ll find the buzz is addictive!

You won’t be doing this on your own. You’ll be supported by a wider team who help to find the right companies to target, work out what we need to say to them, send them marketing materials and interact with them online so they’ll be receptive to a conversation when you get in touch.

What you will do

  • Speaking to people! Either on the phone or via email/social media.
  • Learning about technology You’ll need to be able to get your head around some fairly complex tech services in order to talk confidently about them
  • Hitting targets You’ll receive training and support to do this, but you’ll need to be motivated to hit an agreed target in order to help clients achieve their goals
  • Building rapport with senior people often the interactions you’ll have will be with directors or ‘C-level’ people i.e. chief technology officers, chief digital officers and so on. So you’ll need to be confident and professional in the way you communicate.
  • Looking to improve things. We love to test, learn and optimise here, so we’ll ask you to feedback any interesting conversations with prospects or other information that can help us improve our campaigns
Benefits
  • Fun! Doing great marketing is important, but so is enjoying your work and hanging out with like-minded people.
  • Giving back. We get VERY into our charity fundraising. The TMP Foundation’s current mission is to fund schooling for a group of girls in Cambodia, who otherwise wouldn’t have received an education.
  • Work around your life We love our light & airy offices, but we believe you work better when you want to be here.

Diversity equals increased creativity, which equals better results for all. We’re committed to equality of opportunity and applications from all individuals are encouraged. If you have a disability or additional need that requires accommodation, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Requirements
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Target-driven and self-starter
  • Excellent communicator, you should love talking to people!
  • Good time management
  • The ability to understand complex propositions and explain them to others
  • Good at working as part of a close-knit team
  • Pragmatic, with a logical approach to work and a very high attention to detail

  • What you will need:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales environment
  • Agency-side experience preferable
  • Ability to achieve and exceed targets, or where targets have not been met, able to articulate and provide evidence and insights as to why.

Please note this is a 6 month contract with a January 2024 start date, and the role can be conducted remotely or hybrid from either of our UK offices in London or Oxford.
