We represent the voice of the customer as we build distinctive, always-on connected vehicle technologies and services that transform the ownership experience We are looking for entry to mid-level Full-Stack Software Service Engineers that are passionate about software and cloud engineering to build the next-gen data services based on the latest big data and at scale cloud technologies. The Software Engineer role will collaborate with a Product Owner, Product Manager, and Product Designer to deliver products and core-platform components that support the web services that are performant, secure, and reliable. You will be defining, designing, coding, testing, and deploying services that interact with multiple large scale data systems as well as the production processes around them, such as deployment and health-monitoring. What you'll be able to do: Work on a small agile team to define, design, develop, and deploy services and applications in a micro service cloud-based architecture. Design and implement new features and improvements to our platform that require hard real-time constraints and elegant, yet powerful software solutions at scale. Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code Embrace extreme programming practices including paired development, test driven development, and continuous delivery to release early and often. Participate in design discussions about new features and ensure real-time technology integrates seamlessly with other pieces of the platform Participate in team's live-site activities The minimum requirements we seek: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience. 1 + years of programming experience in Java or C++ or C object-oriented programming (including internship/co-op/bootcamp/ or coursework) 1+ years developing APIs and REST services experience (including internship/co-op/bootcamp/ or coursework) 1+ years of experience in building Web applications and Web services using Python, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Angular, React or similar skills (including internship/co-op/bootcamp/ or coursework) Our preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Experience developing products using extreme agile/ pair/mobbed programming in a test-driven development (TDD). Experience using software configuration management (source control, DevOps, continuous integration/continuous deployment, etc.) Experience with software operations (DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, Support and maintenance) Experience building and shipping production grade software or services. Have a deep desire to work closely, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate successes with other smart engineers. Experience with any of the ETL, data integration products or any industrial data service.
