The Software Engineer will be responsible for creating scalable, robust features and processes that leverage cloud technologies at their core. As an integral member of a cross-functional agile team, the Software Engineer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition with Product Management to acceptance testing with a Quality Engineer to maintaining solutions in production environments. By providing leadership and guidance in development best practices, the Software Engineer will help ensure the team produces high-quality and well-designed solutions. The Software Engineer will learn and implement new technologies on the job, and will teach and mentor others. Job Duties: Collaborate with team members to produce proven scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions Participate in design and code reviews Investigate and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments Implement new technologies and techniques to meet business requirements Additional duties and projects as required by the business Expectations: Work on the full stack, with a specialty in web, server, or data-driven development Mentor and guide others Be an engaged member of a cross-functional, agile team Learn and grow by taking on challenges and collaborating on solutions Drive innovation, service our employees, and treat everyone fairly & respectfully Enable & embrace change Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment Excel in a collaborative environment & be a bridge between cross-functional teams Committed & passionate about your work & achieving team objectives Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, proactive, leadership attitude Qualifications: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar degree required, or equivalent industry experience 5+ years relevant industry experience Expertise with (or demonstrated ability to learn) our core development tools & technologies: Required: C#, Python, and/or React.js Preferred (some but not all of the following):AWS serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and AWS Step Functions), IaaS tooling (CloudFormation or Terraform), Postgres, Snowflake, EMR, Spark, Javascript, AJAX, SQL Server, CSS, Redshift, Jest, Yarn, Cake, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform Experience with Agile software development Working knowledge of software design patterns and anti-patterns Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships Highly motivated, collaborative, and possessing an entrepreneurial mindset Flexible, agile, and open minded with a positive attitude Able to plan work to meet project timelines with high attention to detail & accuracy Excellent organizational & prioritization skills Job Summary Assists in the design, definition, development, and test of the cloud computing applications development. Collaborates with senior engineers to ensure that internal and external clients' needs are met. Job Requirements Delivering software development specifications with a thorough analysis and understanding of the clients' needs and requirements. Building a scalable grid system to handle a variety of framework in the cloud computing platform. Utilizing automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure. Collecting and researching customer experience with cloud computing applications; preparing reports for management. Education IC - Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience. This role could be eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), Company bonus, and Employee stock purchase plan . Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
