DescriptionYour OpportunityWe are looking for an extraordinary Full-Stack Software Developer to help us build some things that will help us solve interesting problems AND improve New Relic on many levels. If you are passionate about problem-solving and process improvement and want to be part of building some tools and scripts other companies are not even thinking about yet, join our team to transform security compliance across our company.We seek an early-career Developer with a strong leaning toward security. In addition to our Portland, San Francisco, or Atlanta offices, we are open to remote candidates who can work West Coast hours from a home office and have >1 year of success working remotely with a distributed team!What You'll DoBuild and maintain scripts and applications to automate processes, minimizing fatigue for business partners;Develop scripts to extract data from different environments and repositories to support automation;Develop custom tools using our stack (Ruby, Python, Javascript, Rails, Node.js, Docker, Google Scripts) to integrate well with our existing internal tools (i.e. Git, Jira, GRC solutions), supporting security assessments;Automation and development of dashboards to provide relevant and measurable security information and a holistic view of security posture.Your QualificationsMust-have:1+ years software development experience (with one or any of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Golang, Java)Incredible interpersonal skillsSTRONG curiosity, positivity, and a desire to work within a culture that values connection, authenticity, and empathyAn appetite for solving problems through data gathering, systematic analysis, creative thinking, and collaborationExperience working with JIRA, Git, Cloud APIs, AWSFundamental understanding of secure coding practicesUnderstanding of cloud security best practicesNice-to-have:Demonstrable experience implementing bidirectional integration for disparate systems (e.g. Jira with a GRC Tool)Interest in or experience with cybersecurity principlesContribution to Open Source projectsBS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology or equivalent relevant experiencePlease note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.About UsNew Relic (NYSE: NEWR) is a cloud-based platform that gives developers, engineers, operations, and management a clear view of what's happening in today's complex software environments.
