What you'll achieve

As an ETL Data Engineer , you will enable secure access and delivery of data to various users by simplifying the interface for the complex data landscape while at the same time enable greater use of data and its inherent value. You will work with some of the best minds and talents in the data space including business stakeholders, architects, application teams, privacy, security, governance etc. on simplifying the interface for the complex data landscape and at the same time enabling greater use of data and its inherent value.

You will:

  • Analyze business needs and create software and hardware solution blueprints
  • Work closely with Data Product Managers and Solution Architects to define use cases and measurable business metrics
  • Work with engineering teams to check the feasibility of the solution, build stories and architect the solution for the Projects. Drive use cases through complete lifecycle.
  • Prepare flow charts, systems diagrams and design documentation to assist in problem analysis
  • Design, code, test and debug software according to Dell's standards, policies and procedures

Essential Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant IT experience in Data-Warehousing Technologies with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Understanding of Big Data technologies, ETL concepts and Data Pipelines
  • Working experience with any combination of the following:
    • Teradata/Oracle/SQL Server/Greenplum as data warehouse databases
    • Strong in SQL (DDL, DML, procedural), Unix and Shell Scripting
    • Spark and Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Hbase
    • Change capture and ingestion tools - StreamSets, Informatica, Kafka and Oracle GoldenGate
    • Data consumption and visualization tools like OLAP Cubes, Tableau, PowerBI
    • Operational data pipeline tools like Control-M

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Computer Applications
  • Experience in working in Agile (SCRUM) Methodology

Salary starting from (Slovakia): 2 600 EUR gross monthly
