Job Details REMOTE: NEAR ANY MAJOR CITY IN US What you will do The Enterprise Solution Architect is a generalist that has technical skills across an array of technologies and domain solutions. The Enterprise Solution Architect has the ability to question the customer on their current situation, understand the goal state, and develop a defensible architecture specification specific to each customer. The Enterprise Solution Architect has the highest level of consulting and leadership skills. An Enterprise Solution Architect can lead from the front of the room from C-level to Enterprise Architects, Chief Data Officers (CDO), Chief Analytics Officers (CAO) and other technology and data leaders within a customer. How you will do it Key Areas of Responsibility Be a trusted advisor to the customer's decision makers by establishing credibility and expertise in Johnson Control's solution offerings - including architecture knowledge of enterprise analytics and data ecosystem, cyber security, commercial and Open Source Software solutions, and Cloud Computing architecture. Define and develop the architecture, roadmap, and standards for the Enterprise Solution Architecture that will align OpenBlue solutions with the customer business and IT/OT objectives. Define and develop architecture for integration of all of the solution components into the customer's OT/IT ecosystem. Define the customer's architecture at the highest levels of an architecture framework from the conceptual to logical levels of detail. Understand the client's business goals, information needs, analytic/application and system requirements, IT and OT plans, and architectures and articulate linkage to the proposed solution architecture and application designs. Provide strategic advice to customer decision makers on technologies and solutions that will assist them in achieving their corporate goals and objectives. Work with Johnson Controls project managers to scope projects and develop a statement of work, project plan, and risk analysis. Provide architecture thought leadership and actively participate in the design, implementation, and roll-out efforts. Develop the organizational digital literacy through thought leadership and knowledge sharing. Technical Skills Technical Generalist with Implementation Experience. Has been or is currently actively involved in technical consulting engagements Expertise in Open Source Technologies - Has been or is currently actively involved in designing and or implementing projects that include Hadoop, Cloud based or other Open Source options Expertise in third party commercial solution - Has been or is currently actively involved in designing and or implementing projects that include Johnson Controls or other third party commercial options Expertise in On-Premises and Cloud - Has the ability to define architectures covering on-premises, cloud, and hybrid of on-premises combined with cloud Expertise in Security impact on architecture - Past experience in ensuring solutions will consider the impact of the industry requirements for compliance along with forward thinking best practices for cyber security and data security challenges. Industry framework understanding such as TOGAF, Zachman or FEA is a plus Adopts Architecture Principles - Adopts and validates the architecture definition against architecture principles Develops horizontal and vertical use cases - Builds level 1 business use cases identifying the personas, journeys and features of solutions required to realize an outcome Identifies and Utilizes Design Patterns - Promotes reuse through actions, identifies and develops emerging patterns Consulting Skills Business Orientation Highest level consulting and leadership skills. Can lead from "front of the room" - "C-level" and customer Enterprise Architects.
