Description:The Engineering Specialist will be responsible for supporting the "PLAT" team at one of the State's largest privately held utilities. You will contribute to work for both Gas and Electric power projects across King County. This individual will be responsible for project-intake management, minimal CAD work, and will learn how to finalize and put together work orders/packets and delegate the workload to the appropriate Project Managers. Projects will vary depending on client to client, but a majority of the work will focused on underground utilities and land-development. Summary of Primary Job Duties: - Conduct intake of projects from customer; organize and identify discrepancies - Upload customer files into PSE system and utilize AutoCAD to red-line/draft/convert customer-files to make workable documents- Utilize Winest software to do cost estimating and loading materials for construction builds- Utilize SAP software to order permits from internal departments (traffic control, ROW, etc) & to create work and purchase orders, update and maintain database. - Internal coordination within team and vendors- The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, have a high attention to detail and consistent communication with the team.
