Job Description

Engineering Project Management - Remote US

Dell is hiring an Firmware centric Engineering Project Manager at the Consultant level in USA to work within the Storage Networking and Devices Organization. In this highly visible role, you will program manage strategic incubation investments and advanced architecture investigations and help advance org-wide processes that support these efforts. This position will work collaboratively with engineering teams located in the US and across the world, enabling successful, on-time delivery of programs.

This desired candidate will be detail and task-oriented while at the same time being capable of understanding and advancing broader strategic themes.

You will:
• Engage and influence global cross-functional teams as they collaborate to establish value streams around select investment areas
• Present to, communicate with, and influence LOB business leaders
• Lead multiple high visibility programs; with a high degree of complexity, unknowns and/or business impact
• Bring Agile thinking and processes to architectural and proof of concept projects
• Work to improve complex process initiatives

Essential Requirements
• 12+ years of Software Project Mgmt and consulting experience

Leveraging Agile best practices with Firmware development team

• Comfortable and confident when dealing with early phase projects with many unknowns and an uncertain path forward
• Proven ability to consult, provide oversite, and influence best Agile/Scrum practices across global regions
• Experience in data storage and/or data management technologies highly desirable
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and develop partnerships outside of the organization
• Experience interfacing with senior leadership
• Possess a high degree of technical knowledge, with a keen ability to learn new technologies & tools quickly
• Proven track record of leading transformation with wide cross-functional impact
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban practices
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including understanding of technical requirements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly
• Ability to identify improvements to existing workflows and results
• Excellent track record of establishing, maintaining and improving project progress through the use of Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Bachelor's degree

Desirable Requirements
• Prior Leadership experience to drive and mentor team
• Master's degree
• One or more agile certifications (e.g., CSM, CSP, CSC,, ICAgile, PMI-ACP)
• Familiar with Atlassian tool sets including confluence and Jira
