Job Description
This well funded software technologycompany is looking to hirea technically strong Engineering Manager to develop and build out their platform engineering team. They build a productthat creates an all-in-one place for businesses to manage their data company wide and handletheir human resources functions with a focus on privacy and security. Right now they have over 200 companies using the platform nationwide and will be doubling that throughout 2023. The Engineering Managerin this role will be responsible supporting a strong engineering focused culture while also being able to develop staff and create a high-powered team. Someone who has managed teams of 5 to 10 employees will be in the sweet spot for the role.
Required Experience
- 7 - 12years of backend software engineeringexperience in high-growth startups
- Minimum of 2years in an Engineering Manager role
- Technically proficient in NodeJS/TypeScript
- Familiar with workingon/managingplatform engineering teams in an AWS environment
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or similar
- Familiarity with Golang/Ruby on Rails is a plus!
- Demonstrated history working atVC fundedstartups
- Passionate about the startup space
- Comfortable working 70% People Management (hiring, training, day-to-day tasks)/ 30% Hands-on (code-review, best practices and mentorship, on-call)
- Full understanding of the SDLC
- Able to work cross-functionally with product and business teams
- Compensation Package: up to $230,000 + Equity
