**The Embedded Software Engineer will be 1 of 2 experienced Software Engineers, working on an R team, to develop technology for motor controls and electric motors.****Position Summary:**The Senior Engineer, Software will drive the design of next-generation intelligent controls and system electronics for cutting edge industrial electricmotors as part of Regal's innovation and growth plan.**Major Responsibilities:**+ Lead the design and implementation of embedded software for electric motors+ Simulate control loop architecture, power electronics, mixed analog and digital electronic circuits using MATLAB/SIMULINK or SIMPLORER· Develop software for STM32 ARM Cortex, TI C2000 or similar microcontrollers per UL60730 standard· Define software requirements, specifications and firmware architecture· Create and implement test procedures for software applications· Collaborate with customers, marketing, manufacturing, and design functions to define application requirements and design strategy· Research, promote and lead implementation of industry best practices for software development such as agile methodologies· Collaborate across the organization by champion the usage of shared software tools to increase speed of design and meet cost, performance and timeline targets· Demonstrate leadership and initiative by independently identifying, assessing, and recommending solutions for technical issues or opportunities· Communicate clearly and concisely to team members and leadership**Qualifications:**· 5+ years experience developing embedded software in C/C+· Experience with controls for Electrical Rotating Machines (120V - 690V, 1Ph, 3Ph, 0.37KW to 15KW)· Experience with sensorless field oriented control (FOC) for open loop and closed loopmotor control applications**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
