Job Description

Location: Vietnam, 100% remote work-from-home position (You must permanently live & have the right to work in Vietnam to apply for this position)

Pay Rate: $4 USD per hour (Paid via PayPal monthly)

Contract: 6 month contract with an extension highly likely - Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes. No benefits.

Hours of work: 20 hours per week - The hours can be worked Monday-Sunday flexibly

The Role:

Vietnam is a rapidly growing market for Twinkl. You will have the creative freedom to shape the content we offer to our customers. Our ideal candidate will be going further than writing & editing content by suggesting new product ideas, identifying needs in the Vietnamese teaching communities, sharing their experiences and expertise with others. It is an exciting time for this market. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that these ambitious plans for Vietnam become a reality. This is a work-from-home, flexible position, and hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments.

As a Twinkl content writer & editor, you’ll be helping to build a new team of passionate professionals working flexibly to write & edit content for Twinkl’s emerging Vietnam market. This team will create and edit a wide range of resources for use in Nursery (EYFS) and Primary (KS1 & KS2). This will include PowerPoints, display materials, activity sheets, assessments and learning activities.

For this role, the majority of your time will be spent creating & editing content for any age from Nursery to Primary School.

Your weekly activity could include:

  • Working with the Vietnam team in creating & editing resources in line with the national curriculum;
  • Review the other content writer’s resources content (editing / quality control);
  • Creating and developing your own content
  • Meeting work related KPIs and targets.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to create and check new teacher content for our brand new Vietnamese team, from ideation stage to publication on the site;
  • Remote collaboration, working closely with global team members across this market;
  • How to develop greater commercial awareness, so we can understand the needs of those who teach in Vietnam!

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team;
  • Be fluent / first language speaker in Vietnamese (both written & verbally)
  • Have working knowledge of English (must be able to communicate in English & translate from English to Vietnamese when required)
  • Be focused on collaboration, using feedback to make our resources the best they can be;
  • Have a sound, current working knowledge of the national curriculum (Bộ Kết Nối Tri Thức, Bộ Cánh Diều & Bộ Chân Trời Sáng Tạo)
  • Have an excellent understanding of the needs of both nursery and primary teachers and parents, to support them in delivering learning within the classroom or at home.
  • Have effective time management skills

We’re are especially interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Qualifications: Degree in education and/or teacher qualification; (Vietnamese Bsc or Masters in Education for Early years & Primary)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Nursery (EYFS) or Primary(KS1 & KS2) International School teaching experience in Vietnam, using the Vietnamese National Curriculum;
  • Skills: Experience of writing / editing to a high standard and use of Key Words & SEO knowledge would be an advantage.
