We have an immediate opening in our Managed Services Division for a EBS Applications DBA. We are seeking a bright and motivated Oracle EBS Applications DBA. Accepted candidates will have the skills to provide exceptional troubleshooting and support to clients, helping them gain the optimum benefit from their Oracle E-Business Suite investment. This position requires the individual to work from a remote location via a high-speed internet connection (cannot use satellite). A typical week consists of five 9-hour days. REQUIRED SKILLS INSTALLATION, UPGRADES, AND SUPPORT Bachelor's degree required Perform and support multiple installations and upgrades in multi-node environments, including dev, test, and production on a variety of platformsoperating systems Experience with recent E-Business Suite releases (12.1.x, 12.2.x) Experience with specific technology stack components such as WLSAS10g, WebOHS, Forms, Reports, Discoverer Knowledge of clientdeveloper products such as Oracle JRE, WebADI, Workflow Builder, Discoverer, Forms, and Reports Perform migrations from one operating system to another Implement, integrate and migrate E-Business customizations MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING Perform clones using RapidClone In depth experience with application patching using adpatch, adop, OAMpatch history database, and with AD Utilities used to control and maintain the Applications including AutoConfig Knowledge and experience with technology stacks and patching including RDBMS, Web, Forms, and Reports Extensive work with Concurrent Managers including scheduled jobs, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting Knowledge of E-Business Suite licensing Experience with Workflow and the Workflow Mailer Manage and troubleshoot E-Business Suite security and performance SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION Assist with UserRoleResponsibility Administration Assist with and perform printer configuration including drivers, styles, and types Perform user auditing using OAM and E-Business forms and reports Perform application tuning and cleanup (purge) Development skills, experience with High AvailabilityFailover, or Advanced Topologies a plus Experience with RAC, DRDataguard and E-Business failoverrecovery Knowledge and experience with load balancing Forms, Reports, JServ, RDBMS OPTIONAL SKILLS Experience with recent ldquocertified with EBSrdquo database releases (12c, 19c) Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for database administration on production and non-production servers Develop scripts to perform routine database administration tasks Develop scripts and methods to monitor production databases Manage backup and recovery of production databases Manage database and application software upgrades as they affect production databases Assist data users and applications development teams in planning efforts by advising them of data conventions and definitions In depth experience performing database tuning and performance analysis, especially using OEM Interact closely with support team to assist in problem resolution and proactive maintenance Serve as point of contact for database and other application vendors when problem escalation is warranted Assist in the development of policies for data management pertaining to security, auditability, and privacy, and ensure these policies are complied with Act as 24x7 support for production database issues Oracle Database certification is a plus OEM installation, configuration, and maintenance experience is a plus LEADERSHIP SKILLS Communicates clearly and effectively with customers, team members and Sierra-Cedar management Maintain an effective relationship with customers, team members and management Constantly explore new ideas, processes and tools to increase team productivity and efficiency Builds confidence and trust with customers Display effective analytical skills Effectively manage scope and customer expectations on individual assignments Follow through on all assignments and takes ownership of customer issues Seek innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to customers OTHER Experience with other Fusion Middleware products (Hyperion, OBIEE, etc.) is a plus Experience with SplashBI andor ApacheTomcat is a plus Experience with the Oracle SSO stack (IDM, OAMOID) is a plus Ability to multitask ndash working with multiple clients and sets of requirements concurrently Work on all phases of a project - development, testing, production support, etc. Meet Service Level Agreements for uptime and performance Develop Documentation as necessary for knowledge sharing within the team No Relocation is required For Remote Applicants, a DSL or Cable Modem is required for high-speed access (Satellite is not acceptable) TRAVEL Limited, based on Client andor company need (less than 15) ABOUT SIERRA-CEDAR Sierra-Cedar delivers industry-focused client success by providing consulting, technical, and managed services for the deployment, management, and optimization of next-generation applications and technology.
