The Opportunity:

The UTR Sports Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Specialist is a full-time outbound-facing role consisting of managing, recruiting, and operating the UTR Sports Junior Team Tennis Leagues in the Western or Eastern US.  The JTT Specialist is focused on building and driving the rapid expansion and overall success of the UTR Sports Tennis Leagues for Juniors in either the Eastern or Western US states. 

As a JTT Specialist, you will focus on the overall operation and management of your designated states; finding ways to get Junior tennis players and captains more active and engaged in their tennis community. You will use your talents and enthusiasm for the game to energize local tennis communities, network with and recruit potential captains, as well as create, run, and grow team league opportunities. 

In the league’s pre-launch capacity, you will focus on raising awareness, generating interest, and creating value for the customers. During this phase, you will be responsible for educating and establishing a successful UTR Sports brand. Post-launch, you will be responsible for the overall league growth through the continued recruitment of new captains and retention of current captains. You will learn the ins and outs of using our  Team Tennis software for league setup and management. 

To thrive in this opportunity, you’ll need to influence, sell, and build strong relationships with coaches, captains, and players of all ages and levels, be a strategic thinker, be quick on your feet, as well as friendly, tech-savvy, and be an amazing communicator. This role is for someone who has had experience in the tennis league industry and knows the structure, pain points, and selling points. 

What you Will Do:

  • You will manage, recruit, and engage your given territory for (East/West) UTR Sports Junior Team Tennis, utilizing the provided technology via the UTR Sports Team Leagues Software.
  • You’ll develop strong and trustworthy connections by leveraging your past league coordination or captaining experience to develop the best go-to-market and growth strategies.
  • Daily communication with captains to create a high level of league engagement, education, and player retention
  • Troubleshooting and brainstorming new ideas to drive new registrants and player retention for markets
  • You will analyze league and captain/player success and present monthly analytics reports to the UTR Sports Tennis Leagues Program Manager. 
  • You’ll work closely with the UTR Sports Tennis Leagues team to implement the strategic plan for getting players to register and continue to register in leagues on the UTR Sports platform in your specific territory.
  • This is a full-time, salaried position with UTR Sports. 

What We are Offering:

UTR Sports' goal is to break down barriers and traditional approaches in the sport and grow the game of tennis globally. This role offers commission-based compensation and is designed for someone who wants to merge tennis and business and promote team play in their area!

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $50,000 to 55,000. There is also additional incentive compensation. The total comp for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.

Requirements
  • Active/established tennis league coordinator, 1-2 years experience coordinating or captaining team tennis leagues
  • Organized, systematic, and driven 
  • Demonstrated ability to convince/sell/recruit and network within tennis
  • Knowledge of the UTR rating and its’ value
  • Comfortable and experienced using software/CRM
  • Ability to document and give feedback from clients to certain UTR Sports team members
  • Excellent people management skills as well as written and verbal communication 
  • High standard of execution, extreme ownership, highly responsive
  • Professionalism, integrity, honesty, and ability to confidently represent UTR Sports
