Job Description

Position Summary:

Guitar Center is looking for an eCommerce Platform Operations Specialist to join the dynamic Enterprise eCommerce department at our corporate support center in Westlake Village, CA. The eCommerce Platform Operations Specialist will execute duties in the Business Control Center (of the ATG eCommerce Platform) for both Production and Test environments. This individual will interact with IT, Marketing, Merchandising, CRM and other business functions as needed.

They will gather requirements from these functions by way of a ticket system and create assets that will be displayed through the ATG CMS.

The Operations Specialist must work as a team player and self-starter, with the ability to analyze tasks, be detail oriented, work independently, provide ad-hoc support, and complete a broad range of duties associated with the eCommerce platform. This individual will also work with our Information Management and Call Center promotional systems. The role will require the application of creative thinking to solve new and existing business challenges.

 

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Daily interaction with the BCC as part of the ATG Ecommerce platform
  • Work with the BCC to manage promotional requests and communications related to the BCC
  • Develop all necessary promotional assets, as well as ad-hoc requests and fixes
  • Support IT & QA in maintaining Test environment and resolving issues therein
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop promotional strategies
  • Initiate process changes as needed utilizing the appropriate resources
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement
  • Should be an active listener, but poised to offer solutions
  • Provide assistance on projects and be able to adapt to a changing environment
