Director, Sales Specialist - Kantar Marketplace North America

An exciting and entrepreneurial opportunity to help drive the commercial success of Kantar Marketplace in North America. In this position, you will report to the SVP, Business Development, and work collaboratively with the NA Business Development and NA Client Leadership teams to drive overall revenue attainment through new business.

Our audacious goal is that by 2022 Kantar Marketplace will be the leading automated research & insights platform, generating incremental revenues for Kantar in excess of $100M at industry leading profit margins.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The NA Sales Specialist, Kantar Marketplace will be a key driver of that audacious goal and responsible for working with the North America Business Development teams to drive new client business for Kantar Marketplace.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Drive $2M in revenues annually on the KMP platform, across all solutions and servicing levels available in North America
  • Collaborate with the North America Business Development teams to identify and pursue NA client targets for Kantar Marketplace from existing client base and priority targets (Fortune 100)
  • There are three components to the role: sales, training, and product consulting

Sales
  • Develop and drive sales narrative on the transformative potential of Kantar Marketplace, lead platform demos, and drive a platform-based selling strategy.
  • Prospect, qualify, and sell through KMP solutions to new clients and white space within existing clients, across North America
  • Drive KMP sales in partnership with NA Business Development teams for BD-led accounts and prospects
  • Partner with marketing team on demand generation activities to drive leads and revenue
  • Qualify and close inbound client leads for Kantar Marketplace

Training
  • Act as the voice of authority on Kantar Marketplace sales in North America, both internally and externally:
    • with a focus on unique selling propositions and a keen eye toward competitor activity
    • Provide guidance and training to BD and client management colleagues to help them understand the Kantar Marketplace vision and value proposition to empower them to bring forward Kantar Marketplace into client conversations
    • Master and share in-depth knowledge of competitors and market conditions specifically for this type of agile solution selling

Product Consulting
  • Educate both internal sales teams and clients on the product innovation plans and releases
  • Provide client-based feedback to the Kantar Marketplace product teams

EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
  • 3+ years experience selling technology-driven market research solutions across various client vertical, and ideally within one or more of Kantar s areas of expertise (creative testing, media measurement, product innovation, brand tracking, etc.)
  • Experience selling or supporting agile, SaaS/PaaS type offerings
  • Strategic problem solver that can predict customer pain points, expectations and implicit needs
  • Strong proposal writing, relationship management and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, with a true self-starter mentality and a determined, tireless desire to win

The salary range for this role in New York is $96900 - $161,600 . Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
