Guidewire is looking for a Director, People Business Partner to join our People team. This role will partner with our President and Chief Revenue Officer as a trusted advisor, business consultant, coach, and change agent. This leadership position will manage a team of PBPs, and will also drive and influence cross functional initiatives across the People function that serve the ongoing development of our talent and culture at Guidewire.

What will you do
  • Understand and translate business goals into holistic, integrated, measurable talent strategies, to be executed across the global enterprise. 
  • Architect talent strategies that are focused on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent and overall business performance.
  • Use data-driven diagnostic tools and processes to develop solutions that continuously improve org effectiveness. 
  • Assess and plan for the skills and capabilities necessary for Guidewire’s long term success; address gaps and emerging skills needs through practical action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align our culture and performance with our rewards and reward strategies.
  • Influence the design and lead execution of innovative talent management strategies and processes to develop world-class talent.
  • Analyze people data and industry trends; develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives
  • Collaborate with other People Team members across the globe in a positive and proactive way

What are we looking for
  • Solid knowledge and direct experience partnering with a successful integrated Field organization (Global Sales, Customer Success, Go To Market, and Professional Services, etc..).
  • Progressive Global HRBP experience partnering with and influencing Executive leaders and leadership teams through data-driven analytics and strategic consultation.
  • Experience nurturing and developing business partner teams of a variety of experience levels and backgrounds. 
  • Experience identifying and positively impacting business objectives as a result of a successful people strategy. 
  • Track record of proactively identifying people opportunities and using strategic skills to drive and influence appropriate solutions within the business.
  • Ability to collaborate and proactively partner with teams across the globe.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, global, and preferably scaled organization. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and come up with creative, modern, and innovative people solutions
  • Not afraid to get scrappy and iterate, while building long term enterprise solutions.
