The Director of IT manages the business’ technology infrastructure, leads IT staff, leads daily activities and operations of the IT department in a cloud environment, ensures that systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. Responsible for the areas of network security, Netsuite, system integrations to 3rd party, EDI,  data processing, systems and network administration, equipment and software purchases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support.
  • Develop and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure strategies that align with business goals.
  • Oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Implement and enforce IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies such as automation, to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Managing cybersecurity for the business, including but not limited to security infrastructure updates and patches, etc.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure is compliant with industry regulations and internal security policies.
  • Establish and implement network security and act as gatekeeper for developers, 3rd party vendors and engineers to ensure security compliance.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provide expert support when necessary. Work with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
  • Oversee help desk activities. Respond to escalated help desk issues. Interact with internal users on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provide answers in a timely manner. 
  • Manage and provide DBA support to all backend databases for company Financial Systems, Web Sites and Intranet Sites.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and manage the purchase of all hardware, software, and other IT related supplies. Ensure that company assets are inventoried and maintained responsibly.
  • Participate in contract and service agreement negotiations to optimize infrastructure investments.
  • Oversee budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives.
  • Initiate and implement improvements in all areas of IT responsibility. Advise managers concerning IT trends, technical problems, equipment needs, system upgrades and priorities and recommend appropriate, cost-effective IT technology solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal users to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. Continually seek opportunities to increase internal user satisfaction.
  • Actively seek areas for improvement in internal IT processes along with possible solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10 years network management, ERP management, and computer systems experience, with at least 5 years in a hands-on leadership/management role
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and systems administration, cloud solutions, cybersecurity and enterprise software
  • Netsuite experience required
  • Experience in managing cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Experienced in managing on prem and cloud-based/data center infrastructure
  • Experience in managing day to day IT support of a technology business and the staff required to maintain support across the business.
  • Must be a good problem solver with strong project and process management skills
  • Must be a high-level thinker, team leader, and roll up the sleeves person to perform the duties to support the business.
  • Proven track record managing corporate standards to a business unit
  • Solid service orientation with effective interpersonal and communications
  • Must have proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information


Reports to:   Chief Financial Officer

Compensation:  $190-200k base salary + bonus
