Job Description


Chipply is the industry’s preferred web store platform that gives the power to team dealers, custom apparel decorators, & corporate suppliers to launch online stores with confidence and grow their GMV efficiently.


We are currently looking to hire a results-driven Director of Finance to join and lead our Finance efforts and will spearhead the Company’s financial forecasting, annual budgeting, key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, operating plan variance analysis, annual audit, as well as other strategic initiatives across the organization. This position will report to the CEO and work collaboratively with others as a member of the leadership team.


  • Partner with the CEO in annual and long-term business planning, budgeting, financial and operational analysis
  • Drive the annual financial plan and rolling forecast processes in collaboration with the executive team
  • Partner with department leaders to understand their needs and provide insightful financial and analytical support
  • Develop and manage financial models and analyses to support accurate budgeting, forecasting of the P&L, balance sheet cash flow statement, and SaaS metrics, and to support data-driven decision-making
  • Spearhead monthly financial and KPI reporting processes
  • Analyze current and past trends in KPIs, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and employee count
  • Develop a deep understanding of financial data systems and flows to ensure data integrity amongst different data sources and uncover integration opportunities
  • Responsible for the management of all bookkeeping functions and accounting resources
  • Lead audit reviews, including selection of audit partner, and manage all internal control operations
  • Manage customer billing, and payables and select vendor relationships (e.g., outsourced bookkeeper, auditors, banks, etc.)
  • Raise issues with past due collections to the CEO
  • Ensure all vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to the executive team for decision-making purposes

  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in FP&A specifically
  • Excellent proficiency in financial theory, forecasting, and financial (US GAAP) accounting
  • Data-driven with exceptional quantitative analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to focus on complex financial problems; strong detail orientation and commitment to accuracy
  • Start-up experience (willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what needs to be done), preferably in a B2B SaaS-based company
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Natural preference and ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
  • Experience with QuickBooks, HubSpot a plus
  • Experience with transaction-based revenue models is a nice-to-have, but not necessary
