Job Description

Essential Functions: Takes full ownership of profit and loss results for assigned responsibilities through appropriate underwriting and rate level actions. Responsible for the profit and growth of GEICO's products through both direct ownership spanning multiple states and/or strategic countrywide product management assignments. Manage product analysis and assigned products in pursuit of profitable growth goals. Leverage market research industry trends and thorough understanding of competitor strategies to drive analysis, product change and GEICO strategies. Build strong relationships with other business units and lead strategic direction for the long-term success of assigned areas. Manage rate filings through approval. Review and approve text for rate reviews, filings and internal communications describing results of analysis. Manage product review packages through completion. Advocates the company position in negotiation with regulators and consultants and in legal and compliance matters. Solves complex problems despite limited or imperfect data. Analyzes, selects, and implements new and complex pricing and product design strategies. Manages relationships with external parties, including vendors, insurance organizations and regulators. Mentor and develop future product managers. Adhere to the GEICO code of conduct company policies and operating principles. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Minimum 7 years' experience managing insurance products Deep understanding of the personal lines' insurance market Experience in working with financials and marketing preferred Ability to collaborate across teams and drive and influence business growth Exceptional project management and organizational skills Initiative and creativity in solving problems and driving innovation through others Minimum 3 years' experience in People Leadership Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) course work preferred Coursera Designation related to business or underwriting preferred The safety of our associates is GEICO's highest priority. Annual Salary $113,686.30 - $215,665.45 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
