Job Description

I. Position Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

Role is responsible for advanced financial predictive analytics through data visualizations, data modeling, forecasting, simulation and data analytics in relation to complex datasets. Role is responsible for the acquisition, manipulation and presentation of data through data mining, advanced algorithms and statistical models. Manages finance data analytics team members and coordinates team activities. Other responsibilities to include:

Managing large quantities of data to recognize patterns and complex insights
Provides financial perspective to nonfinancial data
Creates new statistical visualization methods for highlighting critical variables
Collaborates internally and externally with various departments and organizations to integrate and implement newly developed analytical reports
Works with business interpreters to understand customer view and explain statistical methodology behind analysis
Develops new approach when presented with new data information
Selects the appropriate analytical technique for specific business case
Propose multiple solutions to certain problems
Infers relationship between variables with partial information

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field


7-10 years of experience related to financial predictive analytics
1-3 years of Management experience in a financial predictive analytics
Deep understanding of statistical modeling
Demonstrates persistence in achieving objectives in the face of challenges
Maintains flexibility to meet changing business needs
Quick learner and problem solver
Eager to acquire new knowledge and understand relationships between variables even when application is not immediately apparent
Creative thinker who can introduce innovative ideas and approaches
Self-starter and motivator, able to remain focused and on task with minimal direction
Collaborate with Finance business interpreters
Marketing CoE analysts
Network CoE analysis

Knowledge of:

Insurance industry and investment accounting

Total Compensation Overview:

The Director, Data Analystics role will earn a competitive salary of $145,000to $170,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.
