InSight is an AI platform that extracts information from unstructured content (Document Images, Audio and Video files, other data files and sources) and transforms it to value.

POSITION PROFILE

Iron Mountain is seeking an Engineering Director to drive the strategy, execution, and delivery of AI solution accelerators for business verticals. The leader will scale the business vertical by building and leading a core team to deliver the AI solution accelerators that enable rapid implementations through Iron Mountain and partner teams.

As a senior leader of Engineering, you'll combine your years of proven expertise with a drive to create innovative technology through solid engineering practices. You'll lead a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists, data scientists, solution engineers, and architects who are developing and deploying applications to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate would have the technical skills to effectively guide and participate in architectural discussions, technology roadmaps, and decisions to ensure we build impactful, compelling, and scalable solutions in an incremental fashion. The role is responsible for building AI solution accelerators for business verticals. The accelerators will enable rapid solution implementations to meet the growing demand for our InSIght product.

Success in this role requires strategic and innovative thinking, a proven track record of delivering new customer-facing software products at scale, rigorous analytical skills, and a passion for automation and data-driven approaches to solving problems. The ideal leader will consistently lead by example, be a role model, and a strong change agent for your team and the larger technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the success of the overall AI solution accelerator roadmap for the business vertical.
  • Define, align and evolve the solution strategy for the respective business verticals.
  • Understand and communicate the value being delivered by the solution to client executives, and end users alike. Use the knowledge to drive priority across.
  • Manage multiple clients ensuring detailed solution designs, sound execution plan, and attention to detail.
  • Manage effective stakeholder engagement across all levels. This includes the ultimate users of the platform, sales, pre-sales, product, and support.
  • Manage the demand process for solutions and facilitate sizing and prioritization.
  • Ensure client requirements are defined and groomed to enable delivery of solutions.
  • Quickly analyze the most expedient method to deliver complex technological solutions.
  • Encourage creativity and challenge traditional thinking to solve business problems.
  • Is a talent multiplier who enables the solution teams to drive focus and increase velocity.
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc. in order to lead strategic business direction of the vertical.
  • Analyze business problems, bridge with technology capabilities and design solutions.
  • Ability to look across the technology landscape and understand the structure and relationships other applications have to enable an effective data interchange.
  • Plan, prioritize and execute projects, communicate status, foresee risks, flag issues, seek help, and be committed to a culture of continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10+ years of overall experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Expertise in software system design, data systems, and microservices architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of data analytics, data-science, natural language processing, machine learning, text mining, and AI.
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
  • Familiarity with Low-code / No-code UI, workflows and SaaS platform engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users, partners, leaders, and executives.
  • First hand experience dealing with customers, while working in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills with tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams with competing priorities. Experience with Agile development and delivery.
  • Experience in the following industries is a big plus: Financial Services, Banking, Lending, Healthcare, Government, Accounts Payables, Human-resources, and Insurance.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field is required.
