Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, the Director, Accounting is responsible for overseeing the Company’s monthly and quarterly close process for multiple legal entities and consolidation of corporate financial statements and will coordinate the day to day accounting matters. The position will work closely with senior management to ensure that the Company has the appropriate systems, processes and internal controls in place to scale and support future growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop general ledger accounting and accounts payable team members
  • Serve as the in-house expert of ERP system and a key stakeholder and participant in the implementation and enhancements of the company’s ERP system and other automation projects
    • Experience implementing ERP and/or G/L systems
    • Working knowledge of best practices with G/L systems
  • Coordinate overall day to day accounting including implementation of policies and controls and directing accounting transactions, record keeping and reporting
  • Oversee accounting for international subsidiaries and consolidation of all legal entities
  • Drive continuous process improvement for all parts of the G/L close that properly identifies bottlenecks each month and devises plans to address the inefficiencies
  • Own the monthly and quarterly close process through defining the close schedule and deliverables and disciplined oversight of all tasks during the close
    • Manage the chart of accounts, subsidiary setup, opening and closing periods and financial statements
    • Direct and manage day to day accounting operations (general ledger, consolidation, etc.) to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
    • Identification and implementation of accounting process improvements including automation to reduce close cycle times
  • Have a complete understand of Sarbanes-Oxley and develop everyone’s understanding of the requirements.
    • Assist with financial and SOX audits as well as other outside accounting requirements
    • Work with the SEC Reporting Team to support 10-Q and 10-K reporting processes
    • Own and prepare technical accounting memos as needed
    • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 by reviewing narratives for compliance and ensuring controls are operating effectively and efficiently
  • Oversee lease accounting in the Company’s lease accounting tool (LeaseQuery).
  • Attention to detail combined with an ability to step-back from the detail to bring fresh thinking and perspectives to the broader finance group
  • Support the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller in day-to-day activities for all accounting and reporting matters to ensure compliance with Rimini Street’s policies and US GAAP

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. CPA desired, MBA desired


  • 10+ years relevant experience with a multinational company
  • 5+ years of experience managing G/L Process for global company
  • Experience with international operations, consolidations and foreign currency translations
  • Must be a “self-starter” with a can-do attitude and a serious desire to have a positive impact on our company
  • Experience with financial systems – Microsoft Dynamics AX, Adaptive Planning, and LeaseQuery, desired
  • Experience with Lean Accounting concepts, desired
