Job Description

?**Position is based out of Boulder, Colorado but can be remote!

Digital Product Managers are advocates for creating a compelling experience for Finish Line's customers. Whether it is developing strategy and concepts for a new feature or digging into feedback to address customer pain-points, Digital Product Managers use data and customer insights to drive innovation and reduce friction within the customer experience.

?The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and executing the digital experience roadmap within one or more of the focus areas within the customer experience: Buy, Browse, Retain, Mobile, In-Store. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
  • Leverages customer insights, industry trends and cross-functional input to develop a strategy for both the customer-facing and sales associate digital experiences.
  • Contributes to platform growth strategy by creating new and managing existing products within owned experience vertical.
  • Helps facilitate the definition of customer experiences through working with key product stakeholders such as Store Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Development, and IT to translate needs and concepts into detailed product specifications.
  • Sets clear goals and success metrics for products and reports on those results throughout the product life cycle.
  • Partners with Project Managers to generate project communication, delivery schedules, operational needs and related reporting.
  • Performs competitive analysis within and outside of the industry, translating findings into strategic roadmap initiatives.
  • Facilitates A/B testing and focus group opportunities, captures and applies the learnings throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Identifies, estimates, and advocates for budget needs.
  • Identifies and determines optimal approach to managing project dependencies and roadblocks.
  • Completes ongoing review of metrics pertaining to owned verticals, including periodic experience audits to uncover opportunities for optimization.
  • Guides Product decisions as an expert in Customer Experience field through knowledge of industry trends and best practices in the owned experience vertical.
  • Manages relevant third-party vendor relationships, roadmaps and quarterly reviews to ensure we are maximizing experience and business benefit.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in business or computer related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 - 4 years' previous experience overseeing the development, implementation, and performance of mobile/digital products required. Internal JD Finish Line experience is a plus.

Demonstrated success in a start-up or change-management environment. Background in project management including the use and optimization of project management tools such as Microsoft Project (or related project management software) and Jira (or related tracking applications). Demonstrated success managing project budgets, timelines and resources.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have fluent knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Strong appreciation for Cloud based (and SaaS) applications. Business level understanding of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and XML, SOAP/REST/WEB services. Previous work in QA & UAT of digital applications.
