We are looking for an adept engineer to advance FactSet's cloud journey. As a member of the Cloud Compute team, you will be an integral part of FactSet's successful footprint in the Cloud. You will be focused on ensuring stability and continuing the agenda of advancing cloud adoption within FactSet. By providing performant and cost-cognizant solutions in the cloud, you will foster customer satisfaction, drive forward developer migration to the Cloud and further an effective use of the cloud services.
As a member of our DevOps team, you will be developing self-service tools for automated deployment and configuration management, and partner with employees and teams across FactSet to provide support with their Compute resources in the cloud. With security, high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) in mind, you will implement robust and scalable solutions, guide engineers in their migration and greenfield projects, all while swiftly and confidently navigating our enterprise-level infrastructure with hundreds of AWS accounts.
The work is therefore a good mixture of coding, Cloud tooling administration and inter-team project management and planning.
Develop new and maintain existing Cloud Compute tooling for internal developers and teams
Establish Compute standards to accelerate cloud migration and adoption of cloud native best practices
Deepen and accelerate containerization
Extend the existing AMI strategy
Collaborate with other development teams in FactSet as they migrate and adapt to the Cloud
Assist with Cloud education efforts in the form of workshops and topicals
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes Experience
Strong knowledge of Python and/or Golang
Extensive AWS knowledge, with focus on Compute services: EC2, ASG, ECS, EKS, Batch, Lambda
Working experience with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD and SRE best practices
Passion and enthusiasm for keeping up to date with the latest technologies and solving challenging problems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
