Browse the Aisles Our team is leveraging the latest emerging technologies to craft the next-generation software core of Peapod Digital Labs' eCommerce and order fulfillment platforms In this role, you will be responsible for leading and growing a team of talented engineers, and providing technical leadership in the areas of telemetry, logging, and tracing. You will collaborate with platform and product engineering teams to evolve our observability platform for the unified monitoring of thousands of Azure cloud and on-premises hosts and services. Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role Work to ensure that our monitoring platform detects issues and anomalies in the mission-critical systems with high relevance and accuracy Provide technical leadership in the areas of metrics, logging, tracing, profiling, alerting, and visualization. When needed lead technical deep-dive into code and system design to help diagnose issues Build and lead high-performing engineering team. Mentor and grow engineers, and empower and unblock them Be the voice of platform users by creating a culture of user empathy Contribute to the observability standards and best practices and work to implement them consistently across engineering org Nurture a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and blameless retrospection within the org and across the company Coordinate & facilitate cross-domain teams communication and resolve technical conflicts The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. 3+ years of leadership roles in software engineering or platform engineering fields 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or systems engineering fields Deep experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, DataDog, Azure Monitor) Deep experience with Azure Cloud platform and Azure Devops pipelines Deep experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, or Chef Experience with DevOps practices and operating your own systems Experience with open source software Experience with one or more scripting languages You promote openness, diversity of opinions, and inclusive discussions at all times to evaluate a wide variety of ideas and perspectives in solving challenging problems Clear decision-making in complex situations Stellar written and verbal communication skills Excellent soft skills to establish good rapport and working relationships The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone Ability to manage own work time and priorities in accordance with aggressive timelines and budgets Able to excel working in an Agile Development environment Strong technical aptitude to gain the respect of experienced, talented software developers Join Us at Our Table Peapod Digital Labs is a forward-thinking company with a strong legacy of innovation.
