Our client's Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for users and developers. As a Security DevOps Engineer, you help protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and provide security services to protect highly sensitive data like passwords and customer information. Our Engineers work hands-on with network and compute services and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions in both on-prem and cloud environments. You also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. You use your industry experience to own and drive the resolution of complex security incidents, policy questions and technical security issues.

This role involves ramping up to a broad but thorough understanding of the complex systems that make up the infrastructure of the product. This is a CTO driven initiative- working with company-wide technical risks with high visibility. This will be a very dynamic role that will grew and change as the project develops.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Linux experience - shell scripting
• AWS management, deployment infrastructure experience; or extensive public cloud experience. Development experience needed, not deployment (not CICD)
• Doing infrastructure as code - Terra form, cloud formation, Ansible

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Design and Operational experience with large scale production grade distributed systems
• Good Linuxskills and understanding of operating systems
• Experience building\maintaining largedistributed systems on AWS
• Experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform & Cloud Formation
• Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Java, Ruby, Golang, or shell scripting

Desired:

• Experience withDockerand Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools and best practices
• Understanding ofSSL/TLS and PKI concepts
• Experience with proxy technologies such asNginx,HAProxy, and Squid
• Experience managing infrastructure services such as DNS, LDAP, and SMTP

Core Responsibilities:

• Data collection; verifying remediation reports - pulling data out of system and verifying
• Deploying and maintaining scanners
• A large onboarding effort into the compute team - maintenance for Kubernetes platform

• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to support projects within this system
• Establish milestones for necessary contributions from various parts of the infrastructure and develop processes to facilitate their completion
• Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to achieve KPIs around assessment and implementation of infrastructure needs
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
• Work with other engineers throughout the infrastructure team to complete initiatives
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
