Job Description

Overview:

Our client, a public research university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines, seeks an accomplished DevOps Engineer.

*** Duration: 4 months w/ possibility of extension

Qualifications:

  • Deep experience developing automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor applications in on-premises data centers and in the cloud.
  • Experience with Automation, Configuration Management and Orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (Jira, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Strong Terraform, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
  • Deep Azure deployment experience, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS deployments.
  • Advanced Experience with containerization and orchestration of web services.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps-like work or experience in a real time operational role.
  • Deep Windows Server and Linux administration experience.

Preferred:

  • 7 + years of relevant software development experience two or more of the following languages: Python, Java, JSON, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby and relevant scripting languages.
  • 7 + years of Microsoft Windows server and Linux based servers, enterprise system support experience and strong background in systems administration for both operating systems.
  • Azure Certified Solution Architect, Developer, Sys-Ops Administrator Certification(s) desired.
