Company Description Job Description At Abercrombie & Fitch, the Design Research Manager is a remote role that oversees a small, distributed team of expert UX researchers who generate and socialize key insights impacting design and product decisions across the diverse digital ecosystem of Abercrombie & Fitch and related brands. The Design Research Manager articulates the vision of the team to cross-functional partners and is a strong advocate for the role of research in product development. This role requires 8-10+ years of experience with practical, in-house product and/or digital UX research on a variety of devices/platforms (desktop, smartphone, tablet) and industry experience managing a team of researchers through skills and career growth. What Will You Be Doing? Leading and growing UX researchers focused on providing insight and deep domain expertise in research practices and product development Articulating the vision of the team to cross-functional partners and strongly advocating for the role of research in product development Identifying ways to elevate and up level Research with product leadership and across the broader organization Working collaboratively with designers, product managers, and engineers to oversee the data-driven user experiences of a product from conception until launch Leading the prioritization about what we research, when to research it, and how that research is conducted; This might mean working with varied teams, multiple devices, brands and platforms to find opportunities to further improve the user experience Use verbal and data visualization to bring company partners on your user journey and support your decisions with focus and brevity Identifying gaps and solutions for future growth and scale within the org, including system, product, function, partnership, culture and/or organization opportunities Support a strong remote-working, culture What Do You Need To Bring? 4-year college degree or equivalent experience. 8-10+ years in leading UX Research initiatives and teams A deep empathy for both the customer and your team's goals A practitioner of data-driven design, has experience with numerous user research methods, including in-person and remote moderated one-on-one sessions, concept testing, online qualitative tools, survey design, card sorting, iterative prototype testing, contextual inquiry, A/B testing Familiar with Lean UX framework is a plus Experience working in a Retail/eCommerce environment is strongly preferred Natural leader, with ability to bring a group to consensus and inspire enthusiasm towards the goals of the team Our Company Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
