Job Title Design Engineer I (Core Engineering) Location US - CA - Menlo Park, CA Duration 6 months This Position requires Export Compliance Summary The main function of a design engineer is to work on running power simulations and generating power data. The typical design engineer will perform various tasks including working with teams in understanding tests, running power simulations, gathering results and working on flows. Responsibilities Perform end-to-end RTL and Netlist power analyses for IP blocks Automate results tabulation from power runs and maintain metrics Develop, improve and automate power analysis methodology flows and framework Debug flow issues and assist cross functional teams Investigate power inefficiencies and provide feedback to design teams Minimum Qualifications Good understanding of computer architecture is required. Experience in power analysis and reduction using PrimeTime PXPrimePower, PowerArtist and PowerPro. Familiarity with low power implementation techniques, clock gating, power gating etc. Proficiency in VerilogSystem Verilog and scripting languages such as Python andor Perl is required. Proficiency with TCL is required. Experience with UPF flow is required. Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with micro-architecture and associated power challenges. Understanding of Power Delivery Network Power and performance implications with latest technology nodes. Experience with synthesis and PNR tools and flows(DC, ICC etc.) Proficiency with version control systems. EducationExperience Bachelors degree in engineering.
