Job Description

Edward Jones is looking for a leader to help support innovation and growth within the Application Frameworks and Developer Tools team. TheDepartmentLeader plans, directs, and manages a team of associates and contractors who are responsible for the developer tools and Java frameworks. These responsibilities include operation, regulatory compliance, support, development, security, quality, disaster recovery and implementation of the tools and frameworks.Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across departments, countries, vendors, and other divisions.Align department strategies, responsibilities and objectives with the firm's strategic direction.Develop and execute on-going improvements to all processes related to the department as well as divisional opportunities (e.g. firm prioritization, strategic planning, resource management, etc.)Ensure prudent use of the firm's financial resources.Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to Team Leaders, Project Leaders, Technical Leaders and associates through examples and timely feedback.Develop successors for key positions.Ensure the execution and quality of projects.Understanding of the team's systems, processes and technologies along with developing self on DevOps best practices.Contribution and maintenance of a product technology roadmap and backlog and the application of architectural standards in the team's deliverables.
