Job Description

Position Description The Dealer Digital Product Assistant Manager (DDPAM) provides a key role within GMrsquos Certified Vendor Management Program. The DDPAM is responsible for end to end delivery of digital services within an assigned product category or categories. They are responsible for the initial development and ongoing enhancement of services provided to GM Dealers. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following Responsibilities bull Develop initial product strategy and vision for services within their respective category (if not already existing) bull Develop and manage request for proposals for new services or enhancements to existing services bull Participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of 3rd party vendors to provide the best capabilityprice trade off within a product category bull Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute. Manage contracting, program rollout, co-op and program communication. Evangelize the services within a product category to all internal external stakeholders bull Measure, monitor and communicate vendor performance, manage quarterly product plans, work with brands on go-to market integration, train in-field consultants and stakeholders, and work cross-functionally with all departments within the Certified Vendor Program. bull Provide product oversight to ensure products and services are functioning properly, and consistently meet the needs of the dealers, customers and business owners bull Prioritize feature roadmaps for new and existing programs, actively participate in requirements definition and present updates to key stakeholders bull Identify and recommend new product lines or extensions to existing product lines, support new product launches, monitor and recommending strategies to enhance operational efficiency track the business value of partnerships and investments. bull Manage PL for their category of services, monitor and report on actual and budgeted expenditures for area of responsibility bull Continually expand strategic direction and vision for existing products and services, staying current with emerging technologies and Dealer products. Conduct market research, vendor research, and present opportunities inclusive of ROI for program prioritization Qualifications bull Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent experience bull 2+ years in digital retail position (MUST HAVE) bull Working knowledge of digital advertising marketing (Websites, SEO, SEM, Social, Lead ManagementCRM, consumer marketing, etc.) bull Knowledge of automotive digital vendor ecosystem bull The ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining effectiveness in a dynamic, often chaotic environment. bull Excellent oral and written communication skills that involves understanding the audience getting the message across presenting information effectively and communicating openly bull Self-motivated and able to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced sales focused environment bull Excellent time management skills ndash the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goal bull Ability to build strong relationships, become a trusted advisor, and interact with all levels of dealership personnel bull Ability to influence business partners bull Ability to manage cross-functional groups bull Ability to adapt to various levels of dealership digital expertise bull Skilled in the use of Adobe, PowerPoint, Office, Excel, etc. bull Computer skills to develop, maintain, and analyze data bull Business consulting skills, ability to create action plans and track progress Preferred Qualifications bull Dealershipautomotive experience bull Digital retail experience (Dealer BDC or Digital Dealer Tool Provider)
