Our work depends on a Database Administrator II joining our team to support the CMS Quality Data Analytics and Services (QDAS) contract.

**THIS IS A REMOTE BASED ROLE; CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES**

**In this role, a typical day will include:**

+ Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.

+ Analyzing customer requirements and providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

+ Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.

+ Apply knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases

+ Designing, developing, building, analyzing, evaluating, installing and administering database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management

+ Designing and implementing databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods

+ Managing the day-to-day operations of the AWS Storage lifecycle.

+ Administering AWS Data Migration and Transfer services.

+ Tracking metered cloud resources usage to optimize performance.

+ Preparing system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation

+ Defining database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation

+ Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

+ May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

**WHAT YOU"LL NEED**

+ BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience

+ Proven proficiency in database implementation, management and architecture.

+ Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in large data projects.

+ US Citizen/Permanent Resident

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) programs. Experience with CMS quality programs highly preferred.

+ Experience with Health Care Industry

+ Functional knowledge of Agile Methodologies and Principles

+ Experience with transitioning Hadoop clusters to AWS S3.

+ Experience with Data Migration and Transfer Services such as Glue, DMS
