This position will be managing the IMDM (Individual Master Data Management) Operations Team and supports the growth of the UHG IMDM Capability team and Application with business aligned data-steward services & support to provide accurate PHI/PII Member demographic data in support of multiple downstream applications. The services provided by the data steward team include data analysis to identify trends to adjust algorithms, create business rules or automation to systematically increase quality and significantly reduce larger volumes of mismatches, identity conflict resolution/remediation, change-request processing, and incident investigation.

The right candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills with a sense of urgency for results and have comfort with ambiguity and working in fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the IMDM data-steward team and their daily operations supporting the Individual Master Data Management service
  • Assures accurate, timely and cost-effective management of the Individual Master Data
  • Supports team members and is accountable for their welfare, performance, and development
  • Sets direction, resolves problems, and provides guidance to team members related to their work assignments
  • Provides guidance on Incident ticket issue resolution to correct data-matching errors
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting data - identify and resolve data issues
  • Assists with summarization of analyses across sources of Provider records to identify trends
  • Provides feedback to the IMDM Capability team to improve the matching logic (algorithms) in the automated ingestion process
  • Serves as the Business Operations owner of the IMDM Service across Agile Programs
  • Provides Business Operations Requirements of the data-steward function in Capability Development Planning Sessions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience in large complex organization(s) in areas of Operations, Data Analytics, Project Management
  • 3+ years of previous Management or Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects at a time
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of healthcare or related industry experience
  • Project management experience
  • Process improvement experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
