Job Description

OVERVIEW Rotech Healthcare Inc. is still hiring to help serve our patients during this time of the COVID 19

As your Home Respiratory and DME equipment and services provider, our number one priority is the safety of our patients and our employees. PPE is provided to all of our employees that will have contact with patients.
We have implemented the following measures:
  1. We are maintaining social distancing of at least 6 feet in both the workplace and during home delivery/pickup, whenever possible.
  2. We are asking patients to complete a screening questionnaire to determine high-risk situations for our employees.
  3. We have enhanced cleaning procedures for all of our equipment.
  4. We are communicating frequently with our employees regarding the latest guidance from the CDC.
  5. Rotech is a federal contractor and certain contracts require our employees to provide proof of the COVID 19 Vaccination.

We are seeking a dedicated Data Management Engineer to join our Information Systems department within our Corporate Division. This position will work closely with our BI Manager, as well with internal business users to understand their key business drivers and data needs and scope out scalable and suitable solutions that will help our customers with the information needed for planning, analysis and decision-making. As well as responsible for the successful delivery of business intelligence information to the entire organization and is experienced in BI development and implementations, data architecture and data warehousing.

REMOTE Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply data warehouse modeling methodologies to design and develop appropriate warehouse data staging, integration and reporting structures that would provide for scalable and efficient reporting and analytics solutions
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans and schedules
  • Assist with ongoing implementation of the data warehouse; create data marts, star schema data models and analytics datasets as suitable for the solution
  • Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to management
  • Contribute to the improvement of the of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse team efficiency through implementation of IT methodologies, adherence to best practices, extensive documentation, code/solution reviews, mentoring and cross-training
  • Create ETL sequences/jobs and synchronization scripts/triggers for all major projects
  • Demonstrate an ability to implement data governance and quality policies, change data capture, API-based data sourcing, dimensional design and slowly changing dimensions
  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret advanced SQL, develop and implement SQL, stored procedures and functions, as necessary for the solution
  • Design, develop, test, implement and document ETL solutions to incrementally load the data warehouse and other enterprise applications and systems
  • Develop technical documentation as needed to describe the environments, components and procedures relating to the ETL process
  • Document and share knowledge with the team
  • Follow established coding standards, perform code reviews, and improve standards to assure compliance
  • Help build positive relationships between business users and IT staff and between various teams in the IT function
  • Help produce 'run books' to ensure operators can monitor and address any issues that arise in production
  • Maintain a current awareness of technological developments and trends as it relates to databases, development methodologies and tools, especially in the BI, data warehousing and ETL space
  • Possess strong analytical skills required to troubleshoot issues, identify resolutions and be available for off business hours implementation and support
  • Support implemented BI solutions by: monitoring performance, tuning data loads and queries, addressing user questions concerning data consistency or integrity, performing root cause analysis of issues and communicating functional and technical issues to management
  • Work closely and collaborate with various cross functional IT specialists and business subject matter experts in implementing solutions and validating results with business representatives
  • Work closely with DBA support, opening/working PMR's with IBM Support, or cases with other vendors, when necessary

Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • Creation & tuning of stored procedure and MDX queries, report development and ad-hoc reporting in response to business reporting initiatives
  • Development experience in DB2, Oracle and SQL Server, with good software methodology/practices
  • Experience developing multi-dimensional data models and awareness of the advantages and limitations of Star Schema and Snowflake schema designs
  • Experience in application monitoring and support of production data warehouses
  • Experience in Healthcare applications and experience with source control systems (SVN, etc.) preferred
  • Four years of overall IT/software development experience
  • Knowledge of DB2, with v10.5 and Blu acceleration preferred
  • OLTP data modeling, process flow, stored procedure creation/tuning, ETL, strong application team interaction including understanding of the underlying data structures
  • Solid ETL development and reporting experience all based off of intricate understanding of business process and measures
  • Two to four years of pure hands on ETL development experience etc. and two plus years of ETL tool experience, IBM Datastage v11.5+ or Microsoft SSIS required
