One of our companies is currently looking for a Data Documentalist / Data Governance in Portugal or Spain.

In this role, you will be integral to the creation and enhancement of the client's Data Catalog. Your primary focus will be ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the Data Dictionary, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, and other crucial data governance components. You will work closely with various stakeholders to gather technical documentation, analyze data structures, and maintain strong governance practices to ensure compliance and consistency in data management. This is a remote opportunity that allows you to contribute to impactful projects while ensuring data quality and integrity across the organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, Data Lineage, and Governance frameworks.
  • Analyze and interpret technical documentation, including APIs, database models, and data flows, to ensure alignment with governance standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and system providers to define data structures and ensure their accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure that data is well-governed, compliant, and standardized across different systems and platforms.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the data governance processes, ensuring they meet industry best practices and internal requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret and work with technical documentation such as APIs and database models.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in building and maintaining Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, and Data Governance models.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is highly valued.
  • Experience with Data Catalog tools such as Atlan is a plus.
