The Power and Controls Product Cybersecurity Digital Technologies Principle Engineer will oversee coordinating the protection of engineering development environments with the Digital Technologies organization. This will include ensuring our processes, tools and network interfaces meet the standards established in the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and NIST-800-171 and drive the product development teams in assuring compliance. The key aspects of this role will be to:

Educate people on cyber threats
Work with DT to Implement access controls and Authenticate users
Monitor our physical space
Update security protections
This will include leading the organization to embrace Product Security and ensure readiness for future program requirements as well as providing training and mentorship to the wider organization.

This position is ideally Hybrid to Windsor Locks, CT, but could be Remote for the ideal candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participation in the Power & Controls Product Security Board
Support development and implementation of an Enterprise Security Risk Management plan
Help develop Product Security expertise and skillsets throughout the organization
Develop processes to meet internal and industry requirements
Comprehension and compliance to contractual requirements
Oversee key technologies and standard security functionality development
Leverage RTX and commercial off the shelf capabilities
Product specific applications
Define and apply security analysis/test tools and methods
Support operations and repair site security requirements
Support external facilities such as supplier and customer sites to ensure security protections are in place
Ensure compliance to industry standards
Manage customer/certification requirements
Support solutions of cybersecurity incidents
Advise businesses for the inclusion of security technologies in strategic digital technologies roadmaps
Evaluating/contributing to technical proposals
Guiding adherence to industry standards such as NIST-800
Fostering organizational adoption of Secure System Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
Participate in cybersecurity focused industry committees and working groups

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Providing system administration, system support and design consultation for development environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with system architects to influence inclusion of new security technologies
Promoting/guiding architectural solutions with a defense-in-depth design
Analysis of system and application security architectures
Reviewing system and application vulnerability assessments and providing mitigations
Experience creating/reviewing project bids and pursuits
Any industry recognized security certifications (Sec+, OSCP, CISSP) is desirable
